Energy Systems Student Association

The ESSA is dedicated to furthering the education and extra-curricular opportunities of ESET students through funding projects, organizing trips and social events, participating in program review and organizing tech access purchases.

A Short History of ESSA

The ESSA started out in 2005 as group of interested and motivated ESET students. However, at that time the name of the group was REAP, or Renewable Energy Awareness Project. The main mandate at that time was public outreach and education but soon became the official student group for ESET. The mandate at the outset was broadened to include facilitating extra-curricular projects and recycling the knowledge of the students back into the curriculum so as to bolster the program.

Some of our earlier events include planning movie nights (Who Killed the Electric Car, An Inconvenient Truth), GreenUp! and GreenUp! 2 as well as the 2008 Ciphex Trade Show trip. We will be continuing to grow in the future and hope that you are interested to become a part of our group. Contact Us!
